Lecturer in Computer Science (Academic Education Pathway) X 2

Grade 7, £45,259 to £53,355 per annum, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance.

The Department of Informatics is seeking applications from candidates for the positions of Lecturer in Computer Science on its exciting new Academic Education Pathway (AEP), starting in Summer 2019, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The successful applicants for this post will be primarily focused on teaching in the area of computer science, with a focus on enhancing educational quality and innovation. She or he will be assigned to teach on our undergraduate and post graduate taught programmes and to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate projects on these programmes. The successful applicants will need knowledge and awareness of current research and practice in an area relevant to computer science.

The Academic Education Pathway is focused on the delivery of education, education-related scholarship, and leadership in education. It creates a clear pathway for recognition, reward and opportunities for advancement for exceptional educators.

Applicants must have a PhD in computer science or a related field. The successful applicants will be part of the Department of Informatics and will be expected to contribute to its wider activities and development. Engagement in research related to computer science where applicable in improving research-led teaching on taught programmes is encouraged.
